Conference Manager for educators – features you should know

Are you planning courses, academic conferences, lectures, or orientation sessions at a school, university, or training centre? Then Conference Manager can make your work much easier. Here are some of the key features that are especially useful for educators and course organisers:

E-invoicing and public sector compliance

You can enable e-invoicing directly in the system to meet public sector requirements – including reference numbers, VAT, and structured layouts. Learn how to set up e-invoicing here.

Registration for parallel workshops or sessions

Let participants register for multiple tracks or parallel sessions with limited capacity – ideal for electives, breakout sessions, or academic workshops.

One registration – participation across multiple days

If your course or event spans multiple dates or has different schedules for different groups (e.g. students vs. faculty), this can easily be set up with participant categories, options and the programme.

Collect abstracts – before or during registration

Participants can submit abstracts or papers before registration opens or as part of the registration flow.
You can:

  • Collect abstracts before opening registration, and invite only approved contributors to sign up.
  • Allow abstract upload as part of the registration process, and manually approve or reject each registration.
  • Delegate approval to reviewers or coordinators.

Perfect for academic conferences and call-for-paper formats. Read more about how to set up abstract upload here.

Organise events across borders

In your basic setup, you can set the language and time zone for your event, depending on where it takes place and who your participants are.

Issue certificates and proof of participation

You can generate personalised certificates and send them out after the course or event – ideal for documenting attendance or completed modules. Learn more about how to create certificates here.

Integrate with your existing systems

Connect Conference Manager with your internal tools via API or CSV imports/exports. You can also grant partial access to teaching staff or external partners with External login.

Communicate with students and staff – easily

Send tailored emails using templates and merge fields – for example, to share schedules, reading materials, room assignments, or follow-up information. If you have several files to distribute, you can also use the Download page in the Website Designer to give participants quick access to all materials in one place.
