Create a QR code for a link, for example your event website or registration page. Download it as a PNG for print or screen.
The QR code is created in your browser. Your link and logo are not uploaded to CM Academy or stored on our servers.
New to QR codes? Learn the basics
Size is the width and height of the image in pixels. Choose Print for posters, programmes and name badges, so the code stays sharp when it is printed. When printed, make the QR code at least 2 × 2 cm, and larger if people scan it from a distance.
Colour should be dark on a light background. Light codes or codes on a dark background cannot be read by all phones.
PNG or SVG. PNG works almost everywhere, for example in Conference Manager, emails and slides. SVG can be scaled to any size without losing sharpness, which some printers prefer. If you add text under the code, the SVG uses Titillium Web, or a similar font if it is not installed.
Transparent background lets you place the code on your own design. Only place it on a white or light background.
Logo covers part of the code. The tool adds extra error correction, so the code can still be read. Use a simple logo, and always test the code.
The link is saved in the code itself. It does not expire, but it cannot be changed afterwards. If the link changes, create a new QR code.
Always scan the QR code with your phone before you use it.
