How to activate the “Deregistration” email

The Deregistration email is sent automatically to participants as confirmation when they cancel their own registration.
Before you can activate this email, you need to make sure that participants are allowed to deregister.

Allow deregistration

  • Go to The Event and Basic setup.
  • Click Edit on the section called The Event and find Deregistering deadline.
  • Select Yes under May participants themselves cancel their registration?
  • Set a Deadline if needed – after this time, participants will no longer be able to cancel.
  • Click Save at the bottom of the window.

Activate the email

  • Go to Website, Basic Setup and Texts.
  • Scroll to the bottom and find the section Emails.
  • Toggle the switch to enable or disable it.
  • Click Edit to customise the email content.

When is the email triggered?

The Deregistration email is sent automatically when a participant cancels their own registration through the registration page.

It will only be sent if:

  • Deregistration is allowed under the event’s basic setup, and
  • the participant initiates the cancellation themselves.
