How can we help?

Why are participants asked to confirm their identity?

Participants may see the Confirm your identity page when accessing protected pages through a personal link, such as an invitation or their registration overview.

This is part of the event’s two-factor authentication, which helps protect participants’ personal information. When verification is required, a 6-digit code is sent to the email address associated with the personal link. The participant must enter the code to continue.

Whether verification is required depends on the two-factor authentication settings for your event.

If a participant contacts you

You can explain that the page is a security check and that they should enter the verification code sent to their email address.

When testing your event

You may also encounter this page when testing personal invitation or registration links. Keep in mind that the verification code is sent to the email address associated with the link, which may not be your own.

Adjusting two-factor authentication

You can review or change the security level for your event here:

Go toWebsiteSetup and activation
  • Under Basic setup, click Edit.

  • Click the pencil icon next to Two-factor authentication.

  • Select the security level you want to use and click Save.
